A Message From Dr. Beebe: Breathe Better Joins Atlanta Allergy & Asthma

Atlanta Allergy & Asthma —the largest allergy practice in Georgia— has acquired Breathe Better Allergy, Asthma, & Sinus Center (BBAA) in Gainesville, Georgia, which will become the group’s 19th location. To My Patients,

In July of this year, we shared the exciting news regarding our decision to join Atlanta Allergy & Asthma, a group of board certified allergy and asthma specialists that have been serving Atlanta and north Georgia for over 50 years. Over the past months, we have been working to merge our operations and in January we began offering services as Atlanta Allergy & Asthma. Although some things may start to look different, you will continue to see the same familiar faces, myself, and my capable staff here in Gainesville.

For over 25 years, Breathe Better Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center has made every decision with the goal of providing north Georgia residents with access to quality allergy and asthma care. This new partnership will not only allow us to provide the latest and greatest in allergy and asthma treatment and education, but we are very excited to announce the addition of another board certified allergist to our team in Gainesville.

Malvika Uppal, M.D. will be joining our staff and will begin seeing patients in our office next month. Stay tuned for more information on Dr. Uppal.

Some of the changes you can expect over the coming weeks:

After your appointment, your visit summary will reflect AA&A
Billing statements and billing inquiries will be handled by AA&A
In the future, appointment scheduling will be handled by the AA&A scheduling team. We will provide more information when the time comes.
You will receive automated reminders for appointments and allergy injections
Expanded access for allergy shots and routine office visits. You can be seen, or choose to receive your allergy injections, at any of the 19 AA&A office locations.
Patient forms, patient portal, and other patient education materials will transition to the AA&A website.

We have created a transition plan that requires no work on your part. All current Breathe Better patient medical records have been automatically transferred to ensure a seamless continuation of care.

The partnership with Atlanta Allergy & Asthma empowers us as we navigate an ever-changing healthcare landscape. I want to thank you for trusting me, and the Breathe Better team, with your allergy and asthma care. We are looking forward to a terrific 2024!
